Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry warns Iran of retaliation
Baku, March 5 (Hibya) – Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense announced that the Iranian armed forces targeted Nakhchivan International Airport and civilian infrastructure using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), stating that retaliatory measures are being prepared in response to the attacks.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan released an official statement regarding the air attacks carried out against strategic and civilian points in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The ministry stated that the attacks directly targeted civilian infrastructure.
The statement from the Ministry of Defense included the following remarks:
"The Iranian armed forces attacked Nakhchivan International Airport and other civilian infrastructure using UAVs. We strongly condemn the attacks against civilian infrastructure."
Regarding the response to the attacks, the ministry stated: "Retaliatory measures are being prepared to defend the country's territorial integrity and sovereignty."
