Merz: Everyone who is able to work should work
Berlin, March 5 (Hibya) – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that he welcomes the Federal Parliament's decision regarding the new basic income support.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz made remarks on the new social assistance regulations and the basic income support system adopted in the Federal Parliament.
Referring to the importance of the parliamentary decision, Merz said:
"It is good that the Federal Parliament's decision paves the way for the new basic income support. The principle of 'promote and demand' applies. Everyone who is able to work should work. This is a matter of social justice in our country."
