Araghchi held phone call with IAEA Director General Grossi
Tehran, June 1 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyid Abbas Araghchi held a phone conversation with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi.
According to the ministry's statement, the two sides reviewed the latest developments regarding nuclear negotiations and sanctions relief, and exchanged views on the newly published IAEA report on Iran.
Araghchi emphasized Iran’s continued cooperation with the IAEA and reaffirmed that all nuclear activities are conducted under the agency’s supervision and within the framework of the safeguards agreement.
He stressed that there has been no deviation in Iran’s nuclear activities or materials and called on Grossi to reflect the facts accurately and prevent certain parties from using the agency for political agendas against the Iranian people.
Araghchi also asked Grossi to highlight Iran’s cooperation with the agency during next week’s Board of Governors meeting and emphasize the consequences of any politically motivated actions.
