Anand: We remember the Canadians who landed on Juno Beach
Ottawa, June 6 (Hibya) - Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand commemorated the courage and sacrifices of the Canadian soldiers who landed on Juno Beach in a message published on the anniversary of D-Day (the Normandy Landings).
Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand expressed her country's gratitude on the anniversary of the historic military operation.
Highlighting the historic role undertaken by Canadian soldiers, Anand said: “Today, we remember the Canadians who landed on Juno Beach on June 6, 1944. We remember their courage, honor their sacrifices, and pay tribute to everyone who served our country. Lest we forget.”
