Albares: We defend the rights of women and girls in Afghanistan
Rome, December 13 (Hibya) - Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albares, stated that they defend human rights and accountability so that women and girls in Afghanistan can see a future.
Spain’s Foreign Minister Albares said that decrees restricting the rights of Afghan women and girls are not only an attack on them but also an attack on fundamental human rights.
Albares noted that they demand the annulment of these decrees, adding: “Spain has joined other friendly and allied nations in referring the situation in Afghanistan to the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court.”
He emphasized that they defend human rights and accountability so that women and girls in Afghanistan can see a future.
