Madrid, July 6 (Hibya) - Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares reaffirmed Spain's support for Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU), stating that Europe is going through a critical period and must make progress in the areas of the economy, trade, security, and shared values.

In his statement, Albares said, "Ireland, which has assumed the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, has our full support. The EU ambassadors in Madrid know this as well."
