Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked doctors, military medics, nurses, and all healthcare workers serving on the front line in a message marking Medical Workers' Day, emphasizing that their sacrifices are vital for the country.

Zelensky said that every year on this day, the dedication of healthcare workers is recognized, noting that everyone from doctors and military medics to nurses, paramedics, emergency response teams, and personnel working in hospitals and frontline medical facilities carries a tremendous responsibility.

He stated that Ukraine's medical teams save the lives of wounded soldiers, help civilians, support people affected by Russian attacks, and play a key role in rehabilitation efforts.

Zelensky said: "Our medical teams are always by our side. They save our wounded soldiers, help civilians, support those who survived Russian artillery attacks, work on the rehabilitation of our people, and help them return to life after illness, injury, and loss."

Emphasizing that healthcare workers perform their duties with great strength of spirit, humanity, and resilience, Zelensky added: "Thank you for your daily work, your professionalism, and your dedication to your calling. I am grateful for every life you have saved. Happy Medical Workers' Day."
