Zelensky: We didn't want a single second of this war in Ukraine
Kyiv, April 28 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine did not want a single second of this war.
Ukrainian President Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine did not want a single second of this war.
Zelensky stated that on March 11, a positive response was given to the American proposal for a full ceasefire, adding: "We proposed to Russia to at least halt attacks on civilian targets. We also proposed a full Easter ceasefire and a thirty-day extension."
Highlighting that human life is valued over parades, Zelensky said: "That’s why we believe there is no reason to wait until May 8. A ceasefire should not last just a few days and then revert to killing. It must be immediate, full, and unconditional — for at least 30 days to ensure security and guarantees. This can be the foundation for real diplomacy. We reaffirm this proposal. The American proposal also remains on the table. Russia knows exactly what it needs to do and how to respond."
