Zelensky: We continue targeting Russia's oil revenues
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the Ukrainian Defense Forces are carrying out long-range strikes against Russia's energy and military infrastructure, stating that the operations are aimed at limiting Russia's ability to finance the war.
Zelensky said the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck targets located more than 1,300 kilometers from the front line, including the Bashneft-Novoil refinery in Bashkortostan and the Slavneft-YANOS refinery in Russia's Yaroslavl region, around 700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
Zelensky also said operations in the Black Sea were continuing. "Our responses to Russian aggression in the Black Sea have also been successful. In particular, two military patrol boats and vessels belonging to the shadow fleet were struck," he said.
Emphasizing that Ukraine is systematically developing its long-range capabilities, Zelensky said: "I thank every member of the Defense Forces. These efforts increase the chances for diplomacy. Russia must choose peace."
