Zelensky: Ukraine is moving decisively toward EU membership
Kyiv, November 4 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the European Commission’s report confirmed Ukraine’s progress in the reform process, emphasizing the country’s determination to align with EU standards.
Zelensky said that the “European Commission’s Enlargement Package Report” confirms that Ukraine is moving confidently toward membership in the European Union and is ready to open negotiation clusters 1, 2, and 6.
He noted that this is the most positive assessment for Ukraine to date: “Even while defending against Russia’s full-scale attack, Ukraine continues its reforms in accordance with European standards.”
Zelensky stressed that Ukraine’s progress toward the EU has been made possible by the efforts of millions of citizens: “I am grateful to everyone who works every day for our independence and our state, who supports these efforts, and especially to our brave soldiers who fight for Ukraine, for their comrades-in-arms, and for the future of a united and free Europe.”
He also emphasized that Ukraine will continue to work resolutely to strengthen Europe and shared values.
