Zelensky wrote on X: “I am grateful to the U.S., to President Trump's team, and to the President himself for the time they dedicated to defining the steps to end the war.”

Neither Zelensky nor Donald Trump took part directly in the talks. However, about an hour later, Trump commented on them, saying there were good opportunities for an agreement between Russia and Ukraine.

The new meetings in Florida were a continuation of the latest negotiations in Geneva, based on a 19-point draft developed last weekend by Ukraine and the U.S. The aim was to reach an agreement on letters that could be taken to Russia in Moscow for negotiations next week.

The head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov, said the talks were “productive and successful.”
