Zelensky: Everyone who wants peace must act
Kyiv, July 9 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that everyone who wants peace must act.
President Zelensky announced that work is ongoing in many regions of Ukraine to eliminate the aftermath of Russia’s attack last night.
He stated that the main target was Lutsk: “Damage was also reported in the regions of Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv. This attack says a lot, especially at a time when significant efforts are being made to establish peace and a ceasefire. But Russia continues to reject all of these initiatives.”
Zelensky emphasized that the attack is further proof of the necessity of sanctions:
“Harsh sanctions must be imposed on the oil that has financed Moscow’s war machine for over three years. Secondary sanctions are also needed against those who purchase this oil and fund the killings. Our partners know how to apply the pressure that will force Russia to think about ending the war instead of launching new attacks. Everyone who wants peace must act.”
