According to CCTV, Xi was warmly welcomed by senior Indian officials upon his arrival at Palam Air Force Station in New Delhi.

Guards of honor lined both sides of the red carpet to salute the Chinese President.

Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, as well as Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chinese Foreign Minister, and other members of the delegation accompanying Xi also arrived on the same aircraft.

As Xi’s motorcade traveled from the airport to the hotel, Chinese nationals living in India and representatives of Chinese-funded enterprises gathered along the roadside, waving the flags of both China and India to welcome the Chinese President.
