Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

A workshop aimed at improving the business environment in the defense sector was held with the participation of representatives from the Licensing and Defense Industries Security Directorate under the Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

According to a statement from the UAE Ministry of Defense, the workshop was held in cooperation with the Federal Authority for Licensing of Defense and Security Activities, the Tawazun Council for Defense Enablement and the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ).

At the workshop titled “Strengthening the Business Environment of the National Defense Industry Sector,” an integrated regulatory roadmap aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the business environment in the defense sector and the efficiency of investment services was discussed.

The workshop reviewed the licensing and establishment mechanisms for companies operating in the defense industry.

Practices related to regulating brokerage and international contracts, approving activity names in coordination with relevant parties, and regulating ownership ratios for activities with strategic impact were also assessed.

The work aimed to strengthen an oversight approach that supports the economy and to establish a flexible regulatory system that balances the requirements of security, sustainability and industrial growth.

The efforts are intended to support the United Arab Emirates’ position as a leading global hub for advanced defense industries.
