Austrian Foreign Minister Penny Wong and UK Foreign Minister David Lammy announced that they met at the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in South Africa.

Wong said that the G20 countries are working together to tackle global challenges like inflation.

Wong thanked South Africa’s Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Ronald Lamola for the warm reception given to South Africa for the G20 meeting, saying: "Australia supports South Africa's G20 presidency and its priorities such as inclusive economic growth, food security, critical minerals, artificial intelligence, and innovation for sustainable development."
