Von der Leyen: Romania is an important asset for Europe's security
Bucharest, September 1 (Hibya) - European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen visited the military port and airbase in Constanța to assess Romania’s contribution to Europe’s security in the Black Sea.
European Commission President von der Leyen paid a visit to the military port and airbase in the city of Constanța, Romania.
During the visit, von der Leyen emphasized the importance of Romania for Europe’s security. The Commission President stated: “Romania helps ensure Europe’s security in the air and waters of the Black Sea. Your country is more than ever an important asset for Europe’s security.”
During the visit, von der Leyen was accompanied by Bucharest Mayor Nicușor Dan. She expressed her gratitude for the hospitality shown to her.
