UNRWA: Situation in the West Bank is the worst since 1967
New York, 19 November (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) announced that the humanitarian situation in the West Bank has reached its most severe level since 1967, stating that despite all challenges, it continues to provide vital services to Palestinian refugees.
According to the statement by UNRWA, 270,000 refugees received assistance under social protection and cash support programs. In the health sector, more than 700,000 medical consultations were conducted this year.
The agency emphasized that educational activities are ongoing, with more than 48,000 children attending school in 96 institutions.
UNRWA stated that despite rising violence, movement restrictions and economic hardships, it remains committed to delivering services to Palestinian refugees. The agency reiterated its call for support from the international community.
