UNRWA: In Gaza, children are not going to school but searching for a safe place
New York, August 31 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced that due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, children are deprived of education and struggle to find safe spaces.
In the agency’s statement, it was said: “In Gaza, children are not walking to school, they are once again trying to find a safe place. But there is no such place.” UNRWA noted that there are not enough shelters in the region, the number of tents is insufficient, and people are being pushed into uncertainty.
The statement also called for permission to deliver UNRWA shelter materials to the region, which have been banned for nearly six months. The agency stressed that humanitarian aid must reach the region without delay.
