UNRWA: Allow aid to reach Gaza immediately
New York, October 16 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) stated that aid must be allowed to reach Gaza immediately and at the required scale.
According to UNRWA’s statement, the agency currently has enough food stored outside Gaza to feed the region’s population for three months, and its teams are ready to deliver it.
The statement noted that despite the ceasefire, Israeli authorities have continued for over seven months to block UNRWA from bringing aid supplies into Gaza. “Allow aid to reach Gaza immediately and at the required scale,” the agency urged.
