UNRWA: 75,000 people in Gaza are living under harsh conditions
New York, November 4 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) announced that around 75,000 displaced people are sheltering in more than 100 UNRWA buildings in Gaza.
UNRWA reported that many of these buildings are damaged and severely overcrowded. The agency emphasized that its field teams are working tirelessly to ensure the shelters remain safe and provide dignified living conditions.
Teams provide daily access to water, sanitation, waste collection, and hygiene support.
The agency warned that humanitarian conditions in the region are worsening and stressed the vital importance of maintaining uninterrupted aid.
