Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

UN Secretary-General António Guterres said in his Security Council address on the Middle East that the growing tensions in the region are causing serious consequences on a global scale.

Guterres stated that the escalation in the Middle East extends beyond borders, leading to political tensions, forced migration, economic instability, and rising food and energy costs. He noted that the people of the region are paying a heavy price.

Referring to developments in Lebanon, Guterres said that civilians have been killed, millions have been displaced, and United Nations personnel have also become targets. He called on all parties to pursue a diplomatic solution.

Addressing the Israeli-Palestinian issue, Guterres emphasized that a two-state solution is the only realistic path, stating that two independent states should coexist peacefully based on the 1967 borders. He also noted the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza and the West Bank and stressed that humanitarian aid must never become a bargaining tool.

Guterres also addressed tensions in the Gulf region, saying that maritime transport and energy security are under threat, negatively affecting global economic stability. He called on all parties to respect the ceasefire and return to negotiations.

In his speech, Guterres also referred to Syria, Yemen, and other crises in the region, stating that the United Nations is ready to use all available tools in support of peace and diplomacy.
