UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Türk: "AIDS is a Preventable Epidemic"
DEREN KOCAMANOĞLU - December 1, 2023 - HIBYA - UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, stated that AIDS is a preventable epidemic.
Türk emphasized that AIDS takes too many lives and said, "There is no need for this anymore. This is a preventable epidemic. We must do the following to save lives: Decriminalization. Stop the stigmatization and discriminatory policies that hinder access to services. Allow communities to take the lead in helping those in need."
