Ukrainian President Zelensky: Putin does not want to end the war
Kyiv, April 6 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin does not want to end the war and is seeking ways to retain the opportunity to start a greater war at any moment.
Zelensky announced that he held a meeting with Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
He noted that just last night, Russians used over one hundred attack drones and 23 missiles of various types, including ballistic ones, against Ukraine: “Every night and every day poses a major threat to life in Ukraine. We need to strengthen our air defense.”
Zelensky added that today's Russian attack included missiles launched from the Black Sea:
“Our partners know which ships were involved and from which part of the sea the missiles were launched. This is one of the reasons Russia distorts diplomacy and refuses an unconditional ceasefire — they want to keep the ability to strike our cities and ports from the sea. Putin does not want to end the war; he is looking for ways to preserve the opportunity to launch it again with even more force.”
