Ukrainian Foreign Ministry: Russia carried out a large-scale attack on Kharkiv
Kyiv, April 30 (Hibya) – The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding the large-scale drone attack carried out by Russia on the city of Kharkiv on the evening of April 29.
The statement noted that at least 45 people were injured in the attack involving no fewer than 15 Shahed-type drones, including two children and a pregnant woman.
There were 16 direct hits, some near hospitals and multi-story residential buildings. Fires broke out in 13 different areas of the city, at least 77 buildings were damaged, and numerous private properties, garages, infrastructure facilities, and vehicles were destroyed.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry emphasized that Russia is escalating its terror campaign against civilians by equipping drones with more destructive warheads. The statement concluded: “Only through joint action by Ukraine and its international partners can this terror be stopped and lasting peace achieved.”
