Two killed in earthquake in Mexico
Stockholm, Jan. 3 (Hibya) – Two people were killed in a 6.5-magnitude earthquake that struck Mexico on Friday.
The quake, which was centered just south of the coastal city of Acapulco, was also felt by residents of the capital, Mexico City, but initially caused no serious injuries or damage to buildings.
A few hours after the earthquake, it was announced that two people had died: a woman in a village near Acapulco and a person who fell during an evacuation in Mexico City.
According to Mexico’s Seismological Institute, around 500 aftershocks were recorded at the time.
