Tsahkna: Estonia stands with the Iranian people in their struggle for freedom
Tallinn, January 12 (Hibya) – Estonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Margus Tsahkna condemned the Iranian regime’s violence against peaceful protesters and called for the release of those unjustly imprisoned.
Estonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Margus Tsahkna issued a statement regarding the ongoing events in Iran and the people’s demands for their rights.
Expressing support for the Iranian people, Tsahkna said: “Estonia stands with the Iranian people in their legitimate struggle for freedom. Killings, arrests and violence against peaceful protesters are unacceptable, and I call for the immediate release of everyone who has been unjustly imprisoned.”
Emphasizing the regime’s restrictions and civil liberties, Minister Tsahkna concluded: “Internet access must be restored immediately. I strongly urge full respect for human rights and freedom of expression.”
