U.S. President Trump announced that White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt will leave her post at the end of the month.

Trump said Leavitt wants to spend more time with her young children and family, adding that he understands and respects her decision.

Trump said Leavitt will now serve as one of his outside advisers and noted that she will continue to be an influential voice within the Republican Party.

Trump said Leavitt has worked for justice, freedom and rights since 2018 and also highlighted her role in the 2024 election campaign. Trump also thanked Leavitt, saying she had successfully served as White House Press Secretary.
