U.S. President Donald Trump stressed that the Budget Bill would provide support across a wide range of sectors, from the military to farmers, and called on the Senate to act.

Thanking senators and party leaders, Trump said: "I thank every Senator who stood against yet another Democrat-led attempt to undermine our national security. I congratulate our great Speaker Mike Johnson and House Republicans on their tremendous success in taking the first step toward passing the Budget Bill. I thank our outstanding Chairman Jodey Arrington, Chip Roy, Michelle Fischbach, Virginia Foxx, Jason Smith, Mike Rogers, GT Thompson, Bryan Steil, our incredible Conference Chairman Tom Emmer, Majority Leader Steve Scalise, and everyone who came together to take this important step."

Evaluating the scope and content of the bill, Trump said: "This will be one of the most important pieces of legislation in American history. It will strengthen our great military, provide assistance to our farmers, and most importantly, include as much of the Save America Act as possible. Our voters will be extremely happy — even thrilled!"

Trump concluded by calling on the Senate, stating: "I ask the Senate to pass a Budget Resolution by a simple majority before leaving for the August recess. We are ready to work shoulder to shoulder with the Senate to get this done for the American people!"
