During the ceremony, the Medal of Honor belonging to President Theodore Roosevelt, which had been preserved at the White House, was presented to the library. Trump also participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the library's official opening.
In his speech, Trump reflected on Theodore Roosevelt's leadership role in American history and his contributions to the nation's development. It was also announced that the National Endowment for the Humanities would provide $750,000 to support the library's inaugural year exhibitions.
