The number of registered vehicles using new sources of energy (YEA) in China reached 7.43 million in 2023.

This represents an increase of 2.07 million compared to 2022. According to a statement released by China's Ministry of Public Security on Thursday, the number of YEA vehicles continues to grow in the country, reaching 20.41 million by the end of 2023.

This figure represented 6.07% of the total registered vehicles in the country. The ministry also noted a rapid growth in the number of newly registered YEA vehicles, going from 1.2 million in 2019 to 7.43 million in 2023.
