Telephone diplomacy between Qatar and Mali
Doha, April 30 (Hibya) - Qatari and Malian foreign affairs officials discussed bilateral relations and developments in the Sahel region, while Doha condemned attacks on Mali and expressed solidarity.
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry official Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Khulaifi held a phone call with Mali’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Abdoulaye Diop.
During the call, ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Qatar and Mali as well as recent developments in the Sahel region were discussed.
The Qatari side condemned attacks targeting some military and civilian sites in Mali and expressed full support for the country’s efforts to maintain security and stability.
The statement emphasized Qatar’s solidarity with Mali and its support for all measures taken by the Bamako administration.
