Tanzania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Africa50 General Assembly and the Africa Infrastructure Forum will take place on Aug. 5-6 at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre in Dar es Salaam.

According to the ministry, Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan is expected to attend the opening ceremony, while more than 1,200 government representatives, international financial institutions, investors, and private sector representatives from Africa and beyond are expected to participate.

The statement noted that the meeting, marking the 10th anniversary of Africa50, will discuss strategic infrastructure projects across Africa, as well as new investment and financing opportunities. Agreements related to various infrastructure projects are also expected to be signed.
