Tajani: We came to Washington with our heads held high
Washington, February 19 (Hibya) – Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said they came to Washington with their heads held high because, like most European Union countries, they want to continue doing their part for the Palestinians and realize the hope of two peoples and two states.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tajani stated that Italy joined the Peace Council because it wants to be at the forefront of building peace in Gaza.
Noting that the Peace Council established by the United Nations is the only concrete proposal presented so far to stabilize the Middle East, Tajani said, “Like most European Union countries, we came to Washington with our heads held high because we want to continue doing our part for the Palestinians and realize the hope of two peoples and two states.”
