Foreign Minister Sybiha expressed his satisfaction at hosting European Commissioner for Defence and Space Andrius Kubilius and his team in Kyiv.

He noted that they discussed in detail strengthening defence support for Ukraine and further integrating the Ukrainian and European defence industries. Sybiha thanked Kubilius for his commitment and strategic vision that Ukraine is an integral part of European security.

Sybiha stated that Ukraine strongly supports the implementation of the EU's core defence mechanisms.

Among the priorities of cooperation, he mentioned joint mass production, service and repair centres in Ukraine and on allied territories, joint R&D, and the integration of Ukrainian companies into EU supply chains. He added:

“All this means ensuring European security in the years ahead. Ukraine is already playing an important role in this regard. And we are ready to further expand our cooperation.”
