Sybiha: Putin tried to intimidate foreign diplomats and drive them away from Kyiv
Kyiv, June 3 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced that a delegation of 32 senior diplomats from NATO’s North Atlantic Council visited Kyiv and that the contacts took place amid intense diplomatic activity.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that 32 NATO diplomats visited Kyiv.
Noting that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte also took part in the meetings held in Kyiv, Sybiha said, “Putin tried to intimidate foreign diplomats and drive them away from Kyiv. However, he failed.”
During the discussions, strengthening Ukraine-NATO relations and security issues were addressed. Sybiha said that the meetings focused particularly on “finding solutions to protect lives from Russian ballistic terror.”
Drawing special attention to air defense systems, Sybiha emphasized that “the provision of additional Patriot systems and PAC-3 interceptor missiles” remains a priority.
It was stated that Ukraine-NATO relations have gained new momentum ahead of the summit to be held in Ankara, and that Sybiha presented concrete proposals to NATO allies.
