Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha noted that on the occasion of World Food Day, Ukraine called for global unity and solidarity to end the war waged by Russia and to ensure a peaceful world with food security.

Sybiha added, “Despite 11 years of Russian aggression and four years of full-scale war, Ukraine remains a reliable guarantor of global food security.”

He emphasized that Ukraine continues to be one of the leading exporters of sunflower oil in the world — one out of every three bottles of sunflower oil globally is of Ukrainian origin. “Moreover, we are among the world’s five largest exporters of corn and barley and also a leading supplier of wheat,” Sybiha said.
