Sybiha held talks with Singapore Foreign Minister Balakrishnan
Kyiv, June 24 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced that during a phone call with Singapore Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, they discussed the negative impact of military cooperation between Russia and North Korea on global security.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha spoke about the content of his conversation with his Singaporean counterpart Vivian Balakrishnan, diplomatic contacts, and the latest developments on the battlefield.
Highlighting the main agenda items of the discussion and regional threats, Sybiha said, "We focused on the security threats facing Europe and Asia resulting from the deepening cooperation between Russia and North Korea. I thanked my colleague for sharing the insights he gained following his recent visit to Pyongyang."
Stating that he had informed the Singaporean minister about developments in Ukraine, Sybiha said, "I briefed Minister Balakrishnan on the latest battlefield developments, Ukraine's successes regarding long-term sanctions against Russia, and our peace efforts."
Emphasizing the need to maintain international pressure on the Kremlin regime, Sybiha stated, "Applying pressure on Moscow is critical to advancing diplomacy and eliminating the illusion that Putin can achieve anything on the battlefield."
Referring also to international isolation, Sybiha concluded his statement by saying, "In this context, I emphasized the importance of maintaining international isolation and avoiding any steps that the regime could use to justify its atrocities."
