According to a statement from Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman met with Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani.

During the meeting held in Muscat, Al-Thani conveyed the greetings of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to the Sultan of Oman and extended wishes for his health, happiness, and the prosperity of the Omani people.

Sultan Haitham bin Tariq also asked that his greetings be conveyed to the Emir of Qatar and expressed his wishes for the continued development and prosperity of the Qatari people.
