According to a statement by the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Varsen Aghabekian Shahin met in Lisbon with representatives of the Arab-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The meeting was attended by the Chamber's Secretary-General and Chairman of the Executive Board, Dr. Haidar Al-Khudairi, as well as representatives of various Portuguese chambers of commerce and economic and financial institutions.

During the meeting, opportunities to develop economic and trade relations between Palestine and Portugal were discussed. Minister Shahin highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation in trade and investment, supporting the Palestinian private sector, and facilitating access for Palestinian companies and products to Portuguese and European markets.

It was stated that these efforts would contribute to strengthening the resilience of the Palestinian economy in the face of challenges and restrictions caused by the occupation.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on partnership and cooperation opportunities and on the role of the Arab-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in strengthening ties between the business communities of the two countries.
