Starmer calls on FIFA: World Cup fans must not be exploited
London, May 29 (Hibya) - UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said football fans must be protected regarding World Cup ticket prices and sales procedures, calling on FIFA to take action.
Starmer said football fans should not be disadvantaged in the sale of World Cup tickets.
In his statement, Starmer stressed that fans should always come first and that FIFA must act to ensure people buying World Cup tickets are not ripped off by excessive prices and profiteering.
Starmer added that it is unacceptable for fans' desire to support their countries at football’s biggest tournament to be turned into a commercial opportunity and exploited.
