In a post on social media, Sanchez wrote: "I am shocked and outraged by the confirmation of another gender-based murder in Cantabria."
Expressing his condolences to the victim's family and loved ones, Sanchez said: "I send all my love and solidarity to her family and loved ones."
Emphasizing that there would be no retreat in the fight against violence against women, Sanchez declared: "Not one step back against gender-based violence. Unity and determination."
He also reminded victims of the national support hotline, saying: "If you need help, call 016."
Meanwhile, Spain's Government Delegation against Gender Violence officially confirmed that a woman was killed in Cantabria on July 31 as a result of gender-based violence.
