Sharp downward trend in European stock markets
Istanbul, September 21 (Hibya) - The trading day in European markets ended broadly with losses.
Selling pressure dominated European stock markets. Germany's DAX index fell 1.60 percent to 25.304,06 points.
France's CAC 40 index dropped 1.49 percent to 8.065,02 points, while the UK's FTSE 100 index declined 1.45 percent to 10.659,13 points. Spain's IBEX 35 index fell 1.60 percent to 19.513,80 points, while the Euro Stoxx 50 index dropped 1.37 percent to 6.236,20 points. Switzerland's SMI index decreased 1.15 percent to 13.786,72 points, while Portugal's PSI index fell 1.33 percent to 9.542,21 points. The Netherlands' AEX index also ended the day down 0.52 percent at 1.095,09 points.
