Russian Vice President Yuri Ushakov, who was part of the Russian delegation, stated that negotiations between Russia and the US have ended and went well.

Ushakov said, "It was a very serious discussion on all the topics we wanted to address."

According to Ria, Russia and the US seek to consider each other's interests and advance bilateral relations.

However, a meeting between Putin and Trump next week is unlikely. Moscow and Washington will work to create the conditions for such a meeting. The parties outlined their fundamental approaches to the situation in Ukraine, and separate teams of Russian and American negotiators will start contacts when the time is right.

Putin will decide who will be on the Russian negotiation team, while the US has yet to appoint its representatives.

The negotiations lasted 4.5 hours.
