Rubio meets Lebanese Prime Minister Salam
Washington, September 29 (Hibya) - US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Lebanese Prime Minister Salam and reiterated US support for Lebanon’s implementation of the Trilateral Framework.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio made a statement regarding his meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Salam.
Rubio said, “Today I met with Lebanese Prime Minister Salam and reiterated strong US support as Lebanon implements the Trilateral Framework. This is the only path to lasting peace with Israel.”
Rubio said the United States stands with a sovereign Lebanon and stated that Lebanon should be free from the influence of Hezbollah and Iran.
