Rodriguez: We are at a critical stage
Caracas, January 12 (Hibya) – Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez stated that the country is at a critical stage, emphasizing the need to ensure national unity and preserve internal cohesion.
According to CCTV, Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez said in her statement that the country is at a critical stage and that ensuring national unity is of utmost importance.
In a televised address, Rodriguez called on the public to continue trusting the government under the current extremely complex political conditions.
This call came after the military operation carried out by the United States on January 3, during which President Nicolas Maduro and his wife were detained and taken out of the country. Rodriguez, who was sworn in and assumed office on January 5—two days after the operation that resulted in at least 100 deaths—delivered a message of unity while emphasizing external intervention.
Venezuela’s Minister of Communication and Information, Freddy Nanez, described the actions of the United States as a “21st-century war crime” at an international event he attended on Sunday. Nanez also condemned the January 3 airstrikes as well as cyber and electromagnetic attacks.
