Qatar condemns Houthis: Attacks on civilians must stop immediately
Doha, September 15 (Hibya) - Qatar condemned Houthi attacks using ballistic missiles and drones against civilian residential areas and civilians in the Saudi cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha and Taif.
Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Houthi attacks against civilian residential areas and civilians in the Saudi cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha and Taif. The statement said that many civilians were injured in the attacks carried out with ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles, while homes and vehicles sustained material damage.
The statement described the attacks as “shameful acts of aggression” and said that disregarding civilian lives was unacceptable. It noted that the attacks constituted a clear violation of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty and a breach of international law.
Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it firmly rejects attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure and called for “an immediate end to these irresponsible acts.”
The statement said Qatar stands in full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and supports the legitimate measures taken by the country to protect its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity and interests. It emphasized that Saudi Arabia's security is an integral part of the collective security system of Qatar and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attacks and prayed for Saudi Arabia and its people to be protected from all harm.
