Qatar and China hold Middle East talks
Doha, 16 June (Hibya) - Qatar’s Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, met with China’s Special Envoy for the Middle East, Zhai Jun, to discuss bilateral relations, regional developments, and the US–Iran agreement.
Qatar’s Minister of State Al Khulaifi held a meeting in Doha with China’s Special Envoy for the Middle East.
The meeting reviewed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them in various fields.
The two sides also discussed recent regional developments, particularly the US–Iran agreement, the situation in Syria and the Gaza Strip, and efforts to enhance regional security and stability.
The Chinese Special Envoy Zhai Jun praised Qatar’s constructive role in mediation and peaceful resolution of disputes, commending its contributions to regional and international security.
He also appreciated Qatar’s role in supporting Pakistan’s mediation between the US and Iran and in creating suitable conditions for reaching the agreement.
