Russian President Putin met with Mongolian Prime Minister Uchral as part of the Eastern Economic Forum.

During the meeting held in Vladivostok, cooperation between Russia and Mongolia in the economic, trade, investment and infrastructure sectors was discussed.

Putin said trade between the two countries increased by 4.5 percent last year and by 18.1 percent in the first half of 2026. Putin also stated that the interim trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Mongolia entered into force in July and would create conditions for increasing supplies of Mongolia’s traditional export products to the markets of Union member states.

Putin said more than 70 regions of Russia maintain regular ties with partners in Mongolia, adding that cooperation between the two countries covers areas such as the economy, culture, education and sports.

Mongolian Prime Minister Uchral, meanwhile, said they attach importance to implementing agreements aimed at developing relations between the two countries. Uchral stated that the government would work to implement the issues discussed in the economic, trade, investment and infrastructure sectors.

Uchral also highlighted the importance of the Ulaanbaatar Railway in cooperation between the two countries and said joint ventures and projects should be developed in various fields in the future.
