Prime Minister Radev: Bulgaria is closely monitoring developments in Gaza and the West Bank
Sofia, July 16 (Hibya) – According to a statement by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria, Prime Minister Rumen Radev said during a meeting with Ahmed Majdalani, the special representative of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, that Bulgaria is closely monitoring developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank and will continue to support efforts aimed at ending the conflict in the region.
Radev stated that Bulgaria supports the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 as well as the Comprehensive Gaza Plan, stressing that a lasting and just peace must be achieved on the basis of a two-state solution.
During the meeting, Majdalani reiterated the Palestinian leadership's support for implementing the UN resolution, emphasized the importance of the parliamentary elections planned for November 2026, and called for international observers to participate in the elections.
