Portugal’s Foreign Ministry issues condemnation message to Israel
Lisbon, May 20 (Hibya) - Portugal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it strongly condemns Israeli Minister Ben Gvir.
According to a statement by Portugal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Portugal condemned the behavior of Israeli Minister Ben Gvir and the treatment of flotilla activists as a violation of human dignity.
The Portuguese government stated that it has remained in constant contact with Israeli authorities to ensure the immediate release and protection of its citizens, emphasizing that the situation has become more urgent.
It was also stated that during the summoning of the Israeli Chargé d’Affaires to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, previously planned protest and clarification demands, along with the request for the release of the citizens, would be addressed.
The meeting will also address the issue of violations of the rights of the Portuguese citizens concerned.
